The nitty gritty on membership

Which membership option is right for me? Should I get a Personal Trainer? What facilities do you provide? These are all questions that we are commonly asked by people looking to join the club.

Joining a gym represents an investment in your health and fitness – but it also requires commitment.
The process can seem daunting, especially if it is your first time. But it doesn’t have to be!

To help explain the services and support we offer, we have put together this handy guide to membership. We want you to realize your health and fitness goals as much as you do – so let us talk you through the joining process to get you started. You’ll thank yourself for it…and it’s not as scary as you think!

Membership

What is the difference between a passport membership and a non passport membership?

The beauty of a passport membership is that it allows you to use all cityfitness clubs nationwide. If you travel with work or are visiting friends and family around the country you can always train.

Do you have short term memberships available?

Yes, we offer memberships that suit different levels of commitment.

Why is it so expensive to join for a short term?

We reward our members for their levels of loyalty and commitment. In most cases our members wish to sustain or make long term changes to their health and fitness so we price our memberships accordingly to encourage this.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes – You can freeze your membership for a min of 1 month – max of 3. There is a small service charge to do this of $4 per week.

Facilities

What carparking is available?

Almost all of our clubs have ample parking guaranteeing you smooth and easy access to the club, allowing you to focus on your goals and training. You can check out the facilities at the club closest to you on the specific club pages of our website.

What Group Fitness classes do you offer?

We have a huge selection of classes (including ZUMBA!) that provide easy to follow workouts that will help all of your health and fitness goals. Our spin classes are very popular so we operate a booking system with these. Take a look at our timetable and we can help you plan your classes around the times that suit you. Best of all, group fitness is FREE to all members!

What other facilities do you offer?

We pride ourselves on the cleanliness and high standard of our facilities. For your convenience you will find all clubs are equipped with separate male/female changing rooms, private showers, free lockers, hairdryers and straightners for the girls. We even have irons/ironing boards for those of you who need to rush off to the office in a fresh shirt! Some of our clubs also have the additional advantage of free saunas!

Personal Training

How can I get started with a personal trainer?

We have trainers available to assist you with your health and fitness goals. Upon joining we offer all our members a free one hour orientation session. During this session the trainer will discuss your goals, familiarize you with our equipment and ensure you are safe and confident using it. Your trainer will recommend the best training package for you following your orientation. As a guide, sessions will vary from $50-80 per hour.
