Group Fitness Instructor
cityfitness group fitness instructors provide safe, effective and enjoyable exercise classes to members of cityfitness. The function of a group fitness instructor is retention and acquisition of members through skilful education and instruction for class participants.
Through the class experience, our group fitness instructors provide the highest level of customer service and expertise, and also assist the club in achieving its overall goals.
To apply for this role you must:
- be eager to learn, and continue your professional development and education;
- have a friendly, vibrant and outgoing personality; and
- have an excellent level of fitness and sense of rhythm.
If you’ve never taught a class before, it’s not a problem: all new cityfitness instructors go through a rigorous training process to help them learn the basic skills of instructing. We provide all the tools, training and support to help you become a great instructor.
We also teach the specific skills associated with your programme of interest – including Group Step®, spin cycle classes, Zumba®, or our yoga and Pilates inspired class Centergy®, and more. Experienced instructors also have the opportunity to apply for positions on the cityfitness National Trainer Team.
